The XM556 Microgun is a Heavy Machine Gun.

Overview

The XM556 Microgun is a Heavy Machine gun and represents a significant upgrade to the default KAC Chainsaw. It is an improvement in every category, with increased damage, range, a higher rate of fire, and better accuracy. It has a higher minimum damage and increased damage multipliers to the limbs, as well as a decreased cooldown duration. Compared to most rifleman weapons, it has a higher damage potential per second, yet suffers from a low headshot damage multiplier; when compared to advanced engineer weapons, it lacks in close-range performance. It is nevertheless a strong option for any situation, provided the user is able to fire enough shots to reach an acceptable level of accuracy.

SED weapons have inverted spread. It starts at its maximum spread and each consecutive shot thereafter lowers the current spread, until it reaches the spread minimum. In other words, each shot improves the accuracy of the next shot until it reaches maximum accuracy.
