Overview

The Saiga Spike is a unique Semi-auto shotgun. Unlike every other shotgun in the game, the Spike uses special slug ammunition as opposed to buckshot, which means a single large-caliber shell as opposed to multiple pellets per shot. This results in a significantly lower probability of hitting a target at close range, but each shot deals an incredibly high amount of damage. Within 12 meters, this weapon will knockdown the enemy if the initial shot does not kill him, allowing the user to finish him off on the ground. The weapon suffers from a rather low rate of fire and just 5 shells per magazine, making it less effective for fast-paced game modes and close-quarters engagements.
