The Gepard GM6 Lynx is a Legendary Sniper Rifle.

Overview

The Gepard GM6 Lynx is a Semi-automatic sniper rifle that can be unlocked in the Legendary section of vendor weapons. It is similar in performance to the AS50.

It has interesting recoil properties. During sustained fire, the first 2-3 shots have extremely low recoil. The subsequent forth and fifth shot then have very high recoil, with the fifth shot having an extreme downwards recoil vector. It is therefore recommended to fire in controlled bursts of 2-3 shots to maintain a high degree of precision.

While the weapon has a high damage per shot for a sniper weapon, it offers less-than-ideal damage multipliers to the arms and legs; a shot to those areas will only deal 280 damage, which is often insufficient for a one-hit kill. It is therefore highly recommended to aim for the chest.

It comes with a unique Schmidt & Bender V2 4.6x scope which decreases aiming time by 10% and comes with a unique reticle. When compared to the Vendor 5x Fast Mid-Range Scope, the difference in performance becomes rather moot, and option comes down to personal preference.
